Hello there...
New to the wonderful world of Land Rovering...First landy; 1981 series 3 109 Safari 2.6 petrol (slurp)...Great tyres, probly see me out...engine and 'box pretty knackered, 'box particularly so...bad drivers footwell; doors not great, although repairable I think...door seals and window channels all shot...I have an Idea I'll be leaving a fair sized wedge with Craddocks over a period...Chassis is pretty much very good, no issues that my untrained or unaccustomed old peepers can see...young'un next door is raving about it...thinks it's "very cool"...So, I was wondering if there are many members who might have experience of this particular model...and if I can ask lots of "silly" questions, in particular about a good place to maybe get the engine reconditioned, and get a replacement 'box...that is of course, after I get through all the fascinating threads in here...fabulous treasure trove of info etc...looking forward to many hours of study...
