Hi everyone,
Just joined the Range Rover fraternity!

I have just purchased a Range Rover 1996 4.6 which suffered an engine fire in 2005 and was written off. The car has been repaired and is MOT'd and running great.
A few ancillaries are scorched in the engine bay which I will get changed as and when they become available. The damage seems to have been the o/s of the bay. ie. wiring loom, ht leads (all repaired). I am looking to buying the engine bay section of a loom so that it looks original. Other bits include, viscous fan blades, various clips, power steering header bottle, bonnet liner (if they have one!) and o/s front wheel arch liner.

My main query is that when the engine bay was rewired nothing has been connected to the green sensor located above the thermostat. Can someone tell me what this one is for and where the wires chase back to on the loom pls.

Got some other questions looming!

hi there i think it is your temp sensor for the ecu you will need this connected as it will run in open loop i think my wire goes into the loom about 2 inch away from it regards dave
