New Tyres

I am absolutely delighted with the COntinental Crosscontact Lx 2. They are just perfect, silent, absolute no resistance to rolling, no vibrations, and they received top notch reviews by German ADAC and Russian auto magazines. The best so far, better than Michelin by all means as I used Michelin Latitude Cross on my Classic and it feels all the time I have no air inside!

I put 4 x Nexan Rodians on after a dangerous tramlining incident on Goodyears and the difference is amazing they are quiet and run really well was pleasantly surprised as was my wallet shall be sticking with Nexan from now on

Just done a search for Nexan rodian tyres and AT,HP and MT rodians come up just which one are people talking about ?

Check out Nokian, too. I did not know them until I saw so many of them on the road in Russia. Finland stuff, very good on snow and ice. I saw Volvo XC having them in France.

But again, have a look at ADAC tests at Test- und Verbraucherinformation bei Testberichte.de. The brand is not always consistent on all dimensions/profiles. For the Range Rover P38, in my dimensions, the Continental was the obvious choice at less than 80 pounds per tyre, fitted.

It is for SUV, and summer tyre.

I wanted to fit winter tyres, but in France unless you live in the mountains, you don't need them. It is more dangerous to drive with winter tyres in summer, than with summer tyres in winter.

The Nexen tyres get good results in Germany with a solid 2.0. (Gut).

Price of Nexens bought in Brittany bought through 123 Pneu on line for 104 € each and fitted by a local garage for 75€ the 4. As you can appreciate tyres in France are expensive compared to the Uk, so it,s best to shop around

Just checked the price again for the Nexen with pneus online. Currently 105.98€

Try Allopneu. My local garage fited them for €10 per wheel including balancing.

Not sure I agree with that and most auto Mags and manufactures say that in fact it's better to have a winter tyre all year than use a summer tyre in the snow and ice. Of course it's better to have a tyre that matches the season if you have the luxury

Yes, I had a hard time with this too, as I use XM+S type MIchelins on the Classic, and an old Mercedes I have. But the thing is that in Continental Europe, like in Russia for instance, you need winter tyres no question. Here in Western France, I recommend using summer tyres which are great in the wet, and to fit chains for snow and ice.

But the top is of course like for trucks and ambulances to change from November to April to winter tyres. No question. Depends on how much you are actually driving. I don't do enough km to use tyres in 6 months.

As always, I am not a pro, and this is only my opinion after reading about it, and asking garage guys...
