Well spotted. Originally registered to a quarrying company near St Austell then two private owners. Started off bright red, and has a hard-top chassis code.

I'm not jealous

Nice clean looking Landy, I love that colour.

Rioja Red I think. Last owner replaced the doors and bulkhead, just starting to get a bit of rot in the frames. The respray is very good.

The albatross crap on the roof I've only just spotted.

Not always easy to tell the exact colour in photos, especially with metallic colours, but it looks more like Alveston red, Rioja red is a bit lighter and less maroon.

Yes mate mine's Rioja. Quite probably is a LR colour, just not Rioja. Alveston is a maroon like red like yours, and there was also a maroon in use when the 300Tdi was in production (not sure of the name of it though). I only ever saw a couple of those around but it was a beautiful colour and suited the Defender well.

my D2 is alveston red,but it is not as dark as that fender??

its also red so wont go up hills....but as the vehicle was probably registered at roger young in truro it will be salty and rusty too....
