New to the Defender World

Morning everyone.
I'm Justin, live down in Kent and very recently bought ourselves a 2005 90 TD5 County station Wagon in a lovely Java black. It's the only Defender we've ever owned and just fancied a dip into the rugged world after selling a classic Mini and feeling like another classic would be fun.
The vehicle already had a long list of cosmetic upgrades along the way but we're hoping to renovate some of the mechanicals over time so though it would be best to join the community for help and advice.

Yep, I've heard how in demand and how easy they are to nick so have a pedal local and steering lock to use.
It does have the standard alarm on the vehicle, but I'm assuming they are easy to get round as it's old ?

I'm in the process of ordering a couple of loc and fold seats for the back of my 90 from Exmoor Trim, and they've said they can offer me a discount 'if Im a member of the series club and have a 4 digit membership number'.

I don't want to appear completely stupid right off and ask what Series club they are referring to, so I thought I'd ask here first ?

Hi and welcome!

The series club would refer to one of those he owners clubs. For a Defender, it’s likely to be the 90, 110 and Series 3 Owners Club. You get discounts at several suppliers but you need to join first.

I have just took out 2 rear forward facing leather exmoor seats if your interested, was going to put them on ebay but havnt got round to it

There great seats but i didnt have the belts and brackes for them, plus i have 2 dogs and the like to sit on the bench seats

Thanks very much for the offer but I think we'll stay with my plan to buy new ones as we already have Corbeau front sports seats and we'd want to match as much as possible, but thanks
