Hi pick my first Disco 300tdi Auto up a week on Sat wanted one for years looking forward to Modifying it over next few years so thought it was best to join this Forum to get as much help as possible

Hi, what are your plans for the old girl? I've been working on renewing the worn bits with new oem spec, it is surprising what they're capable of in standard spec albeit with a few guards added for safety. Tyres are the only thing left on my shopping list (for now!).

The disco has bee owned by a mate of mine for last 4 years its a import but full uk spec He is a absolute perfectionist when it comes to anything he owns Chassis has been wax oiled 6 times since he had it, recent new steering rack,, alternator ,all belts and oils done ,Aircon fully overhauled ,water pump replaced about 6 months ago ,new head lining to be fit before i pick it up ,Tow bar fitted just needs slight attention to rear wheel arches on inside of rear doors where there is a very small amount of surface rust which i will sort before winter .Can anyone tell me how the diff lock works on this model please

My philosophy here is repair and replace where necessary, modify when you find a need to. If you've not got stuck or found somewhere you can't go you don't need to modify yet.

Just like to say hi
I had a disco 300tdi auto & it was badly abused over 10 years. Kids learning to drive in it, towing banger cars to various tracks, off tossing and not once did it let me down.
Tin worm got it in the end, a sad day
Enjoy it
