thanks for all the advice lads n lasses i think im gonna take the plunge try a new prop fingers crossed it works failing that ill have to start pinching the kids dinner money an save for the ird wish me luck i will let you know the outcome :(

Fix the HG and you've got a cracken wee motor for just over 400 notes. Fix the drive train and its still under a grand. Can't be bad can it?

lol flat cap brigade i like it im gonna sort it im only gonna use it as a run round fishing trip type motor not gonna be climbing any mountains in it i think the disco crew just envy a working heater lol
 
Hello mate and welcome! You have not too much and could be worth sorting out. Lots of people take the prop of and run freelanders as 2wd to make them easier on the pocket. Chances are your "mate" still has the prop and fixtures lying around start there before you spend a wad!
 
i no mate i already thought of that he hasnt got them said he bought the car like that to be honest though i think what you say is possibly the case with mine its been removed as a money saver im gonna track down a prop n bearings an take the chance i think
