New to forum needing help

hi all. I have a td4 2003. Had a bit of trouble recently with starting. It's in the garage now but mechanic says it starts with easystart but then the fuel is getting drawn back into the tank when u turn the engine off again and it struggles to start again. Fuel pumps seem ok. New seals put on leak off hose. Any help would be appreciated.
