New Seats - Mark II

Well, after my first fail in trying to fit new seats - Merc C Class Sport versions....

I am trying again, after snatching up these bargains off flea bay...



and now sat in my garage





Practically brand new sport bucket recliners

These ones WILL fit, as having just tried them up inside, there is no issue of them sitting higher than the standard seats (which is what I had the problem with the Merc seats I got) - if anything they will be lower, which is a good thing since I am a 6'4" jobbie

Just need to get some 5mm steal and a few bolts next week to make up a new frame, as the holes are 2" narrower than the standard fitment.

Nice seats. Going to get very grubby tho being white. Been meaning to pick some seats up for mine for a while just waiting for the right ones to pop up.

I did think that when i got them, but thought what the heck....they will wipe clean

Plus had white seats and carpet in the vRS we had, although that never went the places the disco goes

Well a bit of progress made….managed to get some 6mm thick steel on Monday, so have set away making up frames for the seats to mount onto the existing runners….

Just waiting for the new high tensile bolts to land so I can mark up and drill out the holes to get them fitted, which will give me chance to get another coat of hammerite on them
