Hello from Sweden,

I just bought my first Range Rover. It´s a L332 TD6 2002 with 210000km on the clock. After a few days it started to misfire and twitch when it got warm. it starts to misfire from about 1800rpm and it stops or gets better when you get past 3000rpm. it does not matter if you rev it standing still or drive it, it misfires just the same. under acceleration there´s no twitching or misfirering. In low speeds you can actually hear some kind of clicking sound when it misfires.
I have changed the fuel filter and i got a EGR plug in kit that i fitted.
I can´t get any error codes from it eather.

Could be the copper washer that the injector seats against is away ,will loss compression at lower engine speeds but less noticeable at higher engine speeds, you will hear a noise from this like you mention, easy enough fix,to find out which one ,have it idling so it missfires and remove the wiring to the top of the injector one at a time and see if you can hear a noticeable change in revs,if you do the one you have unplugged is ok,do this till you find one that makes not much difference in rpm and that cylinder is causing problems, remove manifold, injector pipe, and remove the injector, clean inside the hole spotless ,when fitting new washer heat it up with a lighter till starts to change colour and refit, job done

Faulty injectors, wiring looms are known to be faulty sometimes

Faulty fuel pump(s)
What diagnostics you using ?

When wheeler dealers did the L322 they had faulty wiring to one of the injectors.
I found the full length program on YouTube and it showed it from 12 minutes on how to identify and replace the wiring which might be useful

I will check that out.
I finally got some time so i can try to locate the problem. i have not been able to use the car for a month. Today i disconnected the wiring to the injectors one by one while my friend rev the engine so it missfired. The missfirering got a little bit better when i disconnected the first injector in the front of the engine but it still missfired. When we were done i decided to move the car and i noticed that it ran really well. I had driven for about 20 minutes when it started to missfire again. I bought som CRC electronic cleaner that i will spray in the wiring connectors. If that does not help the next step is to look closer to the wiring.

Now i finally have the error codes:

P0380 glow plug relay failure
P0182 Fuel temperature failure (sensor)
P0480 Engine fan control melfunction
P0401 Extended fault path EGR governor device run- negative device run
P0201 Injector cylinder 1 melfunction - load drop
P0203 injector cylinder 3 melfunction -load drop

I guess the fuel injector wiring harness is the first thing i should check out. As i said earlier the car ran better after i had removed the connectors to to the injectors.
I could not find the episode of wheeler dealers that someone refered to earlier. That would have been a great help.

The 'diagnostics' consisted of plugging a known good injector into the wiring and seeing if the injector worked. A simple continuity check would have shown the same thing but not as obvious for the television!

Full wheeler dealer episode link below, it starts getting into the engine fault at around 12 minutes +.
