Perched on the naughty step
Testing the water really........I could do with running an LT95 as I'm using a very powerful engine now which is pushing close to 500ft/lbs of torque

This box was rebuilt by AW Transmissions and was going to be used in my own build, it has new bearings, the teeth are perfect, new synchros and new oil seals.

All parts on the box are brand new and its ready to fit with the stumpy release bearing.

Perfect if your LT77 is FUBAR, you're making a hybrid and need to save space or you want a 5 speed set up in a series landrover as this is pretty short!

£750 OBO is my price as a lot of works gone into this box! This will include delivery too and just as an idea.......Ashcrofts price is £1194.00 for this!

Yeah its down to V8 size so it'll fit anything!

If its going in a diesel I'm more than happy to supply a roller bearing spigot or a custom turned bronze one

Up for sale as I've found a stash of LT95 short pinions and bellhousings and want to buy one

Depends how much really some people want sill money. I have a mate in scotlandshire has new pinions boxed wrapped from an ex MOD auction for £30ea but postage is mad so waiting until he pops down. Bellhousings were £100 but I think I know where a couple are locally cheaper

I'll email him for a pinion he had like 10 of them they were advertised for £120 ea but I've known him a while bell housings I found online ages ago but think I can get a better deal

I found bellhousings for £154 and pinions for about £140 but yeah thanks if he's got pinions I'll take one if its cheap! Could go halves on postage to make it cheaper then I can send it down to you as it'll be cheaper from me to you than from him to you

Yea I'll ask if he is ok to post. He isn't keen something to do with his village postr office but i'll ask again. The deal was as i left it he is bringing a load of stuff down when he comes this way and I have a load of series bits for his motor to take up.

Fair enough, I may keep the R380 in that case if its cheaper! Only a couple weeks worth of work for me to get a few hundred for those bits he's got and a master rebuild kit for the LT95

Definitely be a better option as it'd take the abuse of the 429!

with the postage side of things i have found paisley couriers to be very good for vehicle parts (and very cheap). im sending parts to germany with them in the next few days.
also if your scottish friend needs series parts that you dont have, i have a shed full of series 3 bits im trying to clear as need space for a series 2 rebuild

Can you tell me how short it is as I have an 80" v8 running a series box that I would like to replace with a better setup.

Using a GM SM465 gearbox mated to the LT230 using a sleeve on the output shaft

This needs to go!

The 465 has a crawler gear too 6.5:1 in first so no need for low really

Is tht using the same rear sleeve/adaptor that's on the 3 speed autos?? I am clueless with septic tank boxes
