:( I have mine for about 2 month and it said it has 34,000 miles on it (2002). I though it was a great deal until I started to see all the stuff that the previews owner did to it. Heater hose are gone, coil converted, the DSP amp is dead, broken ball joints, bad shocks, the maintenance book on the air conditioner, bad rail on the sunroof and some other stuff that it seem that the vehicle does not have 34,000 miles on it. Sunday I was changing the oil and notice that the transfer have a lot of oil on it( like a leak or something).

I don't think it was a good deal after all. I'm thinking of selling it and buy a Jeep or something else to go off road.

What do you think? BTW don't have that much money to spend on it and it seems that we can not find any after market item to fit on it.:doh::doh:

seems you should have checked here first if ya wanna go off road.Disco, range rover classic or depender would all be better for it

I live in Puerto Rico and I have only see Disco, RR and freelanders. I was going to buy a Disco but all the one I saw was in even worse conditions. But I'm not going to use it off road much.

Don't agree about the Disco and RR Classic. In what way are they better off road than a P38? At least the P38 doesn't get stuck on it's towbar all the time like a Disco does and with the traction control, I reckon it's just as good as a Classic off road....

I've also never managed to get my P38 stuck, but driving my parents' Defender, I got stuck on a slight slope on wet grass! (ok the tyres were crappy road ones, but embarrassing even so!).

You kinda justified getting stuck really.

Well I did some off road already and I never get stuck on mud with street old tires. But It seems that the RR needs a lot of caring($$$$$).
