Hello, just taken collection of my 2.5 DSE and it would appear that the to do list is somewhat longer than I originally thought!

1. Both front doors dont lock on remote - suspect actuators!
2. Heated seats not working
3. Backlight Climate display not working - can these be repaired?
4. Rear wiper and heated screen not working
5. Front heated screen not working
6. Bugger to start first time of the day, only got 1/4 tank so maybe fuel pump?
7. Fuel flap actuator u/s!
8. Cruise not working!

I think that is it for now! Already been scouring the forums and have a few things to try!

Fortunately the airsuspension seems to be ok at the minute and I love the smooth drive of the car. For its age and miles it looks pretty well and is a pleasure to drive. I bought it as an "project" so fingers crossed that most items will get sorted without killing the already poorly bank balance!

i have same prob as you with no 2 but with all those probs you have are are all mostly related to the hevac display unit. i`ve got manuals on dvd but can`t resolve my prob

Cruise is easy, 95% of the faults are due to a split pipe in the engine conpartment, 30 seconds with a stanley knife or a new pipe should sort you out.

i dint realise when i got my RR

i thought cruise didnt work, i was just pressing the button on the wheel, didnt realise theres the other button on the dash i had to press first!

I suspect that at soem stage most of the cruise kit such as the bellow has been removed? There is a large space behind the EAS unit at the rear of the engine bay with nothing there! I am assuming this is where it should be?

At least I replaced the locks today now working 100% and the drivers side of front heated screen now deciding to play the game!

yep it looks as if it has been removed for some reason.

The diesel engine does not have the vacuum system to operate the cruise control, the engine ECM controls it as a diesel engine does not have a throttle.

The ETM in the RAVE manual has an excellent troubleshooting section on cruise control.
