Evenin all. I may well have found my next Landy :D 1991 Discovery 200TDI. 86000 miles. 1 owner from new. Full service history. Wax oiled every year from new. Too good to be true? Ill find out sunday :D Wish me luck.:D

just read this..
my old girl is about that age being a J plater.
I did spend 3 months of my spare time under it a few years ago welding anything that looked rusty on the underbody, but the chassis still is good.
I done lots of little jobs now in 4 years I`ve had her, couple of wheel bearings, steering box oil seals, cam belt, that sort of thing.
must admit that "one day" i`ll take the head off to find my ticking sound, sounds like a lose tappit adjuster ? maybe a cam followr, but then I said that last year well before christmas :)
the still shiney old girl has now done very nearly 199.000 miles, still dont use hardly any engine oil/ water/or power steering fluids, and runs happily on vegie mix, always starts even in the cold we`ve had. every 4or5 months I crawl underneath and top up the gear boxes/diffs/and pump some grease into the front hubs (must be nearly full by now )

A couple of years ago on the May Bank Holiday, our 1991 Disco was stolen from outside the house in the middle of the day ...

Make sure she is what she says she is ... and that the seller is 'pukka' anorl ... ;)

Good luck, I hope she is just what you're looking for ...

Thats it. :D I own it now.:D Sure enough, 1 owner from new. Full service history, Landrover from new to 45,000 then independant garages to present day. Miles ticked over to 86,000 as i drove it home. Rust(not enormous amount) inside doors. Sills will need attention. Only advisories on last MOT were front and back number plates deteriorated but still readable. No crunches, clanks, groans or squeaks ( lie! belt to alternator needs adjusting ) Boot floor been replaced. Cam belt done at near 70,000. Well chuffed. :D

Hiya Batty. How ya diddling?:) Yes, ten splines  but it wont get the same abuse here that me other got in France. I am assuming i can swop diffs and shafts straight over and have the 24 splines from my other? Someone correct me if im wrong please. Pics will be forthcoming.:D
