Hi guys, its such a pleasure to finally be part of this family.
My dad had an early discovery and it has always been a dream of mine t get one.
Recently took ownership of my dream Disco2 TD5 2004 but disaster struck almost immediately.
The head gasket blew on the way home from buying the car. Its not all bad though as a very good mate just literally handed me his older Disco 2 td5 2000 with a very good engine. so I come here with the hope of getting some help swapping the engines over.

But look around on threads and you may consider to rebuild yours first.
Also you would do better asking in the disco section

Good to give it thrashing at first IMO. Bring any problems up at the start before spending out on it.
Maybe not rods but you know what I mean.

Any pics of the vehicles/engines for us show&tellers?

You’ll likely get all the help you need to get them both up and running here if you are willing an want to learn. You may take fire if you get it wrong but it’s all meant in jest, and you can always pull the ‘no such thing as a silly question’ rule
