Hi Guys,
I have a bit of a bee in my bonnet about getting a landy. There is positively NO reason I need one but, alas, I still want one.
Atm own an BMW Z3 Roadster '97 plate, and tbh as much as I love the car, it is ridiculous to drive in the winter. In all fairness I do live in the sticks and when we have poor weather its treacherous.
Im considering maybe buying a discovery or the freelander. How much is tax on one of those things? Im currently paying £240 for my Z3, and should imagine a landy is vastly more expensive?
Any thoughts or info that could help me be more decisive would be wonderful lol
Thank yoooou

Hello

 Stop buggering about and get a Defender  :D :D :D

:welcome2:

Haha! Mate you need to drive my z3 in the snow. Goes NOWHERE! Its only got to rain slightly and back swings out, in fact scrap that. On a normal day it does that when you pull away, and im not even ragging it either! Gay lander!? Lol i thought you guys liked them! lol
A Defender hey... I shall consider!
Sometimes wonder if a 22yo would look like a bit of a foolish in a landy..? Lol Oh well, who cares hey? :p

Haha, excellent! Why do all my friends laugh at me when I say I want a landy then?
No taste?
Well tbf, this is coming from one girl who has a bright yellow MG ZR (hope none of your guys have one! *eeek*). I prefer something a bit more beefy :D lol

They're girls?
They're afraid of lubricants ;)
They're "sensible"
They're "normal" :D :D
They just don't know what they're missing :D :D

Yes,
Yes,

LOL
Was browsing the web last night looking at landys... im thinking it has to be down. I drove my stepdads the other day, He stayed at home. I considered just running off with it haha. :D

And a lezlander. Hilarious never heard that before haha.

I am 22 and have a fender, there is nothing wrong with that!! They wont be laughing at you when they was a tow up a slight hill in the snow!!

Very true I have had to tow out the neighbors for the last 3 years since we moved here. Some never learn though and drive back down only to want towing out the next day again LMAO.

What landy has your stepdad got that you drove?

This is going to sound very silly of me... I was so excited he brought it round I didn't look and just got in it haha. (In my defense he doesnt live with me so it's not like I get to see it every day! lol) I think it was a Discovery though! Haha  I asked if I could borrow it for like a week, but alas he said no! I thought it was rather rude. lol.

Hahha true about the snow though! Last winter was awful where I am, esp in our work car park. There was like 2-3 foot of snow in places, I've never seen so many accidents in one place before in my life. At least I would be able to just wave good bye and look really smug to all my colleagues as I went home care free :p mwaa haa haa

3 names then ,, they carry the FREELOADER title round here,,,, Go for a real Landy " Stage One" If you find a swb then its not a Stage one
