Good Morning everyone,
My name is Mark. Sandra and I (who IS a Brit!) have a 98 Disco 1 in great shape....except underneath....sheesh...seems the Vermont winters and salt have just consumed the brake lines, fuel lines and most everything else made of untreated steel in the undercarriage. The brakes have been replaced including the calipers, pads, lines (all of them) and the rotors. The fuel lines as well. However, I now a noise from the front end. (one more thing, new set of tires, ball joints and an alignemnt was done as well) It sounds exactly like a stuck caliper that causes the pads to rub the rotor but it isnt that problem, been checked. When you even lightly touch the brake pedal it stops everytime..wondering if a wheel bearing can cause the same conditions? We are basically rebuilding this Disco...new shocks and springs sitting here in the living room, cat back system and then we'll tackle the stuck shift lever...runs like a dream, no leaks from the dual sun roofs..interior is fantastic, A/C is cold and heated seats work...lol. (love those) so, if anyone can suggest a possible diagnosis we would appreciate it. And for the record, the V8 rover gets better gas mileage than my X-Terra V6 4x4! WTF!

Mark and Sandra...
98 Discovery 1 (Deep red with light tan leather interior) and 107k on the clock. :alien:
