Hi, joined the Land Rover brigade with a 2000MY Td5 Defender bought in November. Drove it back from Bristol to Essex without issues but then found rear brake callipers seized so only front brakes working. Still the M4/M25 didn't use brakes much and pre drive can't do handbrake check on rear brake effect as it works on the driveshaft!
I'm a member of Lions Charity club and its main use is now towing our Santa Sleigh!
Good forum; finding most of the issues mentioned on here, temporary black tape over the front air vents and around the sun roof, stopped those for a while until sleigh job finished and can spend time fixing.
Just fitted new headlamp column switch which failed this week while out with Santa; checked all fuses and they were Ok so got the RAC man to diagnose remaining item would be the switch, confirmed with pin out check.
Hope I'm not on here too often but good to read potential resolutions when & if!
