Hi, Duncan here, looked at this as a guest for ages, joined when I had a big problem. Many thanks to Discool for his genius. Had 3 Disco 1s, traded 1 for another, then chased rust round it for a while until my current 300 TDi came along. Cut up 200 for £5 less than the 300, Result. Sadly now realised that "Andy the Landy" probably can't be replaced with anything else so simple and usable. Had loads of flash company cars, M3, St220,Mercs, Focus RS, (Mk1 & 4 Mk2) etc,etc but none were as capable as a Discovery. Now no longer have Co. Car so Andy is daily driver (if I want to go fast there is a Luego, Lotus 7 type kitcar, currently waiting for 2.0 Zetec with bike carbs, I like simple). Sadly Andy has succumbed to near terminal rust, but will live again. Boot floor has disappeared, sills are non-existent but the wheel tubs etc. are OK. I work for a co. with a bodyshop, panel beater there used Disco to move his 26' caravan so he is now enlisted as he is a better welder than me! Would anyone be interested in yet another photo story of fixing a Disco? I have a few ideas about making it better, box section sills etc. and the new floor arrived today. Love my Discovery, best car I have had and inc. co. cars had about 300 different ones. Any replies gratefully received, look forward to hearing from you.
