I just bought this. 1970 Series 2A. It's on its way to me today. Being shipped. I tried to buy this car last year without luck, but the it came up again so I snagged it.

I know nothing about Land Rovers. Hoping to learn a lot. I was told this was the place to join. I'm in Canada.

Welcome aboard :) You were advised correctly, this is the place to join ;)

Re your 2A ...... looks really nice - got any more pics - 'specially underneath, and under the bonnet?

Passed my driving test in a 2A, so they hold a special place in my memory :)

It will hopefully never even know that such a thing as winter exists... mind you we had snow like two weeks ago so who knows these days.

Looks like it has the optional artic heater fitted?

Get some rubber boots on them battery terminals, the bonnet catch can touch them as the battery normally on the other way aound, ie posts nearest engine.

Ah, the_icecream_getter, definitely a roof-off sport!!!

The previous owner never had the roof off as it seems the seatbelts attach to the roof? Not sure.

I will do that! Great tips.

FWIW, I don't have the vehicle in my possession yet. It's shipping today. Last time I saw the vehicle was a year ago, but most of these pics have been snapped over the last couple of days.

Well worth joining the Series 2 club/forum, wealth of info on there with some very knowledgable members.
Good magazine as well, 25 quid per year membership?
