Well at least new for me, it's a 2005 td4. And to set the tone for all my posts in the future here's a strange question to start with.
How should a Freelander be driven?
I'm a motorbike man .... never really driven much carwise and those I have done have always been petrol so diesel is new to me (except for a 1950's Massey Ferguson tractor when I was a kid)... so my question is not maybe as odd as it seems.
High on revs, low on revs?
Interesting off-road tips?
whatever you can say would be interesting to hear...:)
cheers to all...

Hi rory, all I can say is drive it sensibly, it isn't a car, it's a big square lump and fairly heavy, so remember you have to stop it. It will bowl along the M/way at 70 all day without any stress or strain. You can go quicker quite easily but then we come back to the not a car thing.
I see you are in Spain, I would think off road out there means mostly dry, which is not a problem, take it steady and enjoy yourself. Have fun, and let us know how you get on.

So advice taken..., I'm off the the Pyrenees day after tomorrow to start thrashing for three weeks. I let you know how it went...
