Hi all, just joined the site as i am on my third Freelander and this one is proving to be the donkey so far.
2006 td4 sport, got it cheap as it had a few minor knocks ect.
Soon as i drove it i knew the prop centre bearings needed changing, figured i would do the vcu while i was having the prop off and the motor has just got to 100,000 and i intend keeping it.

The vibration seemed worse under load or accelerating, so i fitted the bearings and vcu and the vibration got ten times worse, still under load when pulling or accelerating.
Double checked what i had done, uj's lined up right ect.
So off come the prop again, all its joints seem ok and its lined up right.

So im running it with the prop off now and i still have this same vibration, fine on the over run but still there when pulling or accelerating. albeit much nicer to drive now as the vibration is much softer now the prop is off.
I would still bet money its centre bearings if i didnt know they are off.
Help.......
