Hi Guys, Im new to the site but i have spent many hours reading over existing posts etc and have managed to sort a few little problems, but i still have a few problems unsolved and would be very greatfull for some help,
1. I seem to have the usual "Select Neutral" message when i try to engage Low box, these are the steps i have taken to try and fix, when i press the button i get a flashing light on the dash and the clocks, and display reads Select neutral.
I have taken off the plug for the Neutral swtich on the gearbox and bridged the connection, this made no differance,
I have applied 12Volts to the transfer box motor and it moves freely,
I have Checked out the ECU under the pasenger seat, no burning smell no visable damage
I have checked the wiring for visable damage all seems fine, however i did trace the wiring fron the transfer motor back across the top of the gearbox via the neutral and reverse switches then to the engine bay where i found a disconnected plug hanging down, it has 3 wires but 6 pins in the connector? i think this should be connected to something as the reverse lights are not working either, maybe a power supply plug? does anybody know where/if it should be plugged in?
sorry about that, all a little long winded.
2. ABS Fault. will this affect off road effectivness? traction control/difflock system etc?
It is a 4.0ltr V8 Manual P38 Rangerover, 1997.
cheers Dave.
