Hello,
The transfer box and gear box went in Scotland a couple of months ago. it's. 200tdi defender 90
They have both been rebuilt and fixed. The problem I'm having is that second gear crunches occasionally and sometimes when I slow down to a stop it makes a 'flapping' sounds/feeling from the gear box. I know 'flapping is a poor description but that's the only word I can think of to describe it!
Also, 3rd gear is hard to select sometimes.
Does anyone have any ideas what might be the problem or what might need to be done to fix it?
I'm thinking the second gear crunch might be a synchro mesh problem?
I'm going to send it back to the carage but just want to have a bit of a clue what's going on...
