New fuel lift pump

My 300tdi disco has been surging and messing around just lately and taking ages to start, so I thought I would replace the fuel lift pump.

I have heard bad things about the ****part ones so when I went into island 4x4 yesterday I asked what was my best option, he told me the ones he sold were made in Turkey and branded “Allmakes” and he sells hundreds of them with no problems so I bought one inc the new nuts and olives for £13

Fitted it in 20 mins this morning and boy what a difference it made, went for a nice drive this afternoon with no problem’s, wish I did it weeks back now.

No problems with the BP ones they are actually very well made, Seen one dissected, it was actually a small gauze filter that was blocked and not the lift pump that had failed, suppose that will teach him for removing the sedimenter from the fuel system.
