Hi guys,
I'm wanting to change my dash, as like me it's old and tired, and slightly cracked. I've found one for a 2003 model, with a centre console and everything. My 'Fender is a 1991. Simply put, will it fit?

if you decide to go ahead with it, let us know how you get on an get some pictures up. i have been thinking of doing the same thing my selff

Ben

take it your talking about a td5 dash if its 2003? in which case its almost exactly the same except for the center console and electronic clocks, wiring connections are going to be biggest pain id of thought? and it takes some work to intergrate the later instruments to old loom, think theres a guide on here if you put in a search. hope goes smoothly fella

I hope it goes smoothly too. From what I can see, it shouldn't be too tough a conversion, with the main emphasis of the swap being on the electrical integration of new wiring to my old ( and butchered ) loom. Still, it should make for interesting reading I hope! As soon as I get started I'll get some photos online for you all.

The previous owner of dad's Jreg landy fitted one and it looks very neat. The gauges light up much better but there are several downsides. The dash isn't very deep so anything more than a pack of fags in and things fall out. Also the bulkhead flaps work differently but i'm sure you could modify them. Personally i would fit a dash like yours with a mud type consol and td5 gauges.

Hi Boris, I was planning on just purchasing a centre console to facilitate a stereo, but my binnacle is FUBAR, so I need to replace that. I'm planning on replacing my bulkhead tops so need to pull out the dash anyway!!
