Isn't it funny how you get used to things....
I didn't think there was anything wrong with my Rangie, then it started with a bit of a rumble type vibration when you put it into gear and a loud clonk when you shut the engine off.
On closer inspection I found that my exhaust had snapped just by the centre box  (Been gone a while)
So a lovely new Bosal exhaust was fitted and it's like a new car!!! :D

Another thing was that before mine had 2 rear pipes, and it didn't matter which book we looked through we could only find a single pipe system (2.5 diesel)...

Out of interest what's yours got and does it make any difference? Apart from carrying around 20 or so Kg's of metal with you!

I believe the first year or so had single pipes, there is a cut out on drivers side in bumper, mine is a 98 and has twin pipes, the bumpers don't have cut outs as they are angled down , I may be wrong but I thought from the cat back the exhaust is the same petrol and diesel

I thought they all had twin pipes but in the Bosal book there all single. Like you say there's a small cut out on the drivers side.
Mine had 2 pipes but they didn't match
