I would just like to say hello to you all, i have just part exchanged my 1996 p38 for a 2003 discovery 2. I loved my rr but it just needed too much doing to it and it wasn`t cost effective. Anyway i know nothing about diesels so i am hoping that you can help if i am in need anytime.
The car i have brought is an 03 td5 ES wit 2 owners from new (each one having it for 3 years) full landrover service history and all work it needed done at landrover with all the bills to prove it, and 98000 on the clock.
Everything is woking so i hope i have a good deal.
All the best
Mark

How much did you pay Mark ?

Hi
It was £8995 and they gave me £2000 for my 1996 range rover with a busted gas system, but i did tell them about it and they wernt bothered. I dont think it was too bad as i looked at an 04 down the road no leather but the same condition and they wanted £13995.

I do not know what is happening with second hand 4x4 prices right now.We were told nobody would want a gas guzzler and the government were on track to tax these 4x4s off the road but hey ho they are going up in price, maybe its the snow !! I bought my td5 a year ago for £6.750 with only 51,000 on the clock, same truck this year same price. Malcolm E

Don't believe all the bad press, it's a case of 2 + 2 making 8. Most vehicles have problems and they all cost the same to put right, the problem with LR is finding a reliable repairer. The main stealers seem to be only inerested in selling you a vehicle, after that it's bugger off. I bumped into a lady recently who bought a 58 plate Range Rover from Guy Salmon in Bristol, and she has been told she will have to wait 6 weeks for any warranty work to be carried out. They are the Main Dealer but only have 4, yes four mechanics ???? that don't sound good. Anyway enjoy the Disco, I certainly love mine.

Nice disco mate ! That's the truck I want next. Will have to talk nicely to the wife !!!!!!

Thanks my wife liked it the moment i showed her the picture of the inside (she likes that colour), still getting used to it though it feels chunkier than my range rover but a lot less roll in the corners. My biggest concern was the wife getting in and out as she is disabled and the range rovers suspension went completely down compared to this, but she is managing it ok. Now to get some free time and take it down the woods for a play :D
