new disco`er

hi to all you discoers out there. i have not long had my disco so far iam impressed with just about everything. i know they are heavy motors but iam wondering could i get some more power out of the engine. it has a td5 engine with 10000 miles on the clock. do you know of anybody who does this sort of thing in the westyorkshire area. england

I'm also new to the Disco, and have a TD5, which to be honest, I find pretty impressive power-wise, but I will eventually look to squeeze more power out of mine...

I was in West Yorkshire recently, and popped into Simmonites in Thornton (outskirts of Bradford), they do chipping/tuning and stuff in there, reckon they can get another 30 ish BHP out of a TD5. Depending on the chip, they could do it in either 10 minutes or 90 minutes, give them your chassis number and they'll let you know...

Simmonites are agents for Jeremy's conversion, pick whoever is more convenient I would say.

BHP is increased from 122 to 185 (approx (51%), tourqe is up about 42% I believe, (that's for chip + intercooler). My TD5 can now accelerate uphill towing the caravan, not that I would choose to do that of course.

Be warned, whilst economy can be about the same the temptation to p*&s off all the boy racers can result in a drastic reduction in mpg
