New dash stereo

Hi, Im new to the forum, i have a Defender 110 puma and i have purchased the new central dash that allows me to add a new larger car stereo so we can have Sat Nav etc. The opening is 17cm x 10cm. Has anyone else done this and if so, any idea what size unit fits as Im struggling to find one, as there doesnt appear to be any size online that shows what opening you need.

Most car stereo units are referred to as either din or double din sized 180mm x 50mm or 180mm x 100mm. Doubt check your measurements.

Thanks both, ive figured out, that the double din unit i have does fit, as it doesnt need to fit through the opening, the panel fits over the top of the double din unit, so that is now fine.
Ive had the auto electrcian here today to fit it, apart from a few wires need extending to reach there seem to be a few issues, one is the clock above the dash, which has a white part at the bottom, which appears to catch onto the double din unit and wont go in correctly. I havent got it fully in place yet, so it might be fine, but anyone have any issues with this before or any advice please..? ALso, there is a new panel that needs to be cut out of the dash to the right of the panel, is there anything i should know about this, is there a right/wrong place to cut out etc..?
