Disco 2 New D2 owner

Evening, so I bought a 2000 D2 gs and came back to the land rover family. I know about all the pit falls and common faults, so what I'm asking is what upgrades/mods should I try and get done first. Thanks

Get the EKA code,
make sure you have 2 working keys/ fobs.
If you are going to play off road, then difflock is always nice.
Get yourself a nanocom or similar.
Cruise control is nice.
Give the chassis a clean and seom treatment.
Put some UV fluid in the coolant to make it easier to search for the leak when it happens.
Get a decent battery on it.

Not so much a mod but preventive maintenance...
Depending on how the previous owner took care of the Disco 2, I'd add these items of things to possibly do:
- Do full inspection of hoses, bushings, battery connections etc.
- Change brake fluid and bleed brakes
- Flush and change the power steering fluid
- Service the tranny fluid
- Change the coolant pressure cap and thermostat
- Change fuel cap
- Change the oil and filter
- Clean the throttle body, IAC valve, PCV valve & MAF sensor (V8)
- Check/change both of the diffs fluid
- Change the transfercase oil
- Replace the plugs and wires (V8)
- Replace the air filter
- Lube all the drive shaft grease fittings
- Rebuild or Replace the front drive shaft if it only has 1 grease fitting

Cheers lads, I've done most of those things but the UV suggestion sounds worth it. Nanocom is on the Christmas list for myself as well hahaha

What matey said above me, but with a water pump added on

Find out if the oil pump bolt has been changed.
