I've just got everything back together and before I put all the radiator pipes back tested the clutch 1st and reverse but when I took it down the road some of the other gears were a bit stiff and 4th won't go in at all .

I've bled it twice slightly better and all gears go in easily apart from 4th also the bush where the rod joins the clutch pedal was worn away so I've put a piece of copper pipe in its place but still no 4th.

check bias plate etc hasnt fallen jamming gear lever ,needs consol off to chech a loose gear stick that does fall into 3rd 4th alignment when pushed sideways is a clue

I wasn't driving at the time the rod punched through the release fork but wonder if there had been a problem then . Could my brother have been giving the clutch some welly when 4th would not engage .

Sometime in the last 12 months something changed in that 3rd and 4th had to be carefully selected there was no spring to guide you and ended up going from 3rd back in to second if you weren't careful .

clutch issue would effect all gears especially 1st or reverse if it wasnt clearing properly and dragging ,either somethings jamming stick or theres an issue in box, but 3rd and 4th been difficult means bias plate which positions 2 springs either side of gear stick is broken, you need to get to gear stick where it enters box ,consol off and rubber gaiter removing then the tin cover over stick

This is what's turned out.
