Hello all,
Late last summer I received a small inheritance from my grandfather. A good portion went on big ticket jobs around the house by what was left I've "invested" in a Land Rover.
After quite a bit of searching I got hold of a 50th Anniversary Discovery with a 300tdi. I'm really quite excited about the whole thing. I've been coveting a Land Rover for a good many years. In short, best Christmas present I've ever bought myself.
I've had it about a month now. There's work to be done - a lot of cleaning, some odds and ends, plenty to keep me busy. Hopefully nothing too complicated for me, haven't tinkered with anything bigger than my racing bike for years. But I have a workshop manual and some reliable Land Rover enthusiast chums.
As you guys came up with a thread for dashed near everything I've Googled over the last month, I thought I'd join up.
