new bcu but still won't work!!!!!

as I've said in past comment,the disco td5 w reg decided it wouldn't recognise the remote one morning weeks ago,tried to open it using the key and alarm went off and immobilised the car. after being advised it could be remote sensor, i got a new one and its still the same,so after more advice i got the bcu sent off to some guy in hemel hempsted who tested it and said it was corrupt, so he has apparently redone it and sent it back with new eka,the eka code works but only allows the engine to turn over but not fire up and still the remote fob still dosnt open the car. i have been told by the land rover dealer the problem will be the wire that goes from the remote sensor in the headlining to the bcu ,so that is being checked either today or tomorrow. this car has been in the garage for 7 weeks now and its driving me mad,i should have just taken it to land rover and bit the bullet. please has anybody got any ideas coz its driving me mad, thanks
