L322 New Battery Recommendations

Something is drawing 7 amps, but only when engine is off and it goes into sleep mode.

So the hunt now starts! I have a fuse draw thingy so i guess i start to pull each fuse and see what i find.

Thank you. I have very basic knowledge so forgive me if I say something stupid but i also found out the draw was showing only in the last stage of the car going into sleep mode once it had been turned off and doors locked so that might count out the alternator diode?

Is that a reasonable assumption do you think?

The draw would be there all the time if it was an alternator fault. Others know more than I do about L322 battery drain problems.

I don't want to replace it with the standard one as I guess better ones are available.

Can anyone recommend one that will physically fit and is better all round than the standard replacement.
