Hi guys just got a new Lincoln battery (made in the UK Leigh-on-sea) none of this foreign rubbish lol its massive and will just about slip into the battery holder is 115ah 1000a so I want to keep it in tip top condition the last one (900a) lasted a good 6 years, but I am not using the car as I used to, its a diesel, so I need a trickle charge and digital, with a cut off that will handle the battery I have, the charger I have now is good, but it wont top it right up, its not rated for a battery this big,any suggestions as to what to get thanks

Ctek do some nice ones or I use an optimate charger, works ok on larger battery's just takes longer to charge it.
I got a Ctek unit from eBay for around £30 and it worked a treat on the Merc (it had a huge battery). I left it on the bus while I was out of the country for a month and it was fine when I got back. I am out of the country for 6 months later this year and I have complete faith that it'll keep the battery well maintained while I'm away.

Think mine is Ring but it seems to work well and is clever enough to handle float etc.

Funny thing about batteries is that no matter how much you pay for them they never seem to last like the (manuf. spec.) original.
Recently replaced ours on the daily driver, stamp proves it to be made in 2005. My late parents had to change their original after 12 years service.
I only ever go for standard spec. batteries with a 2 year warranty, never use a charger & even on a infrequently used V8 Classic I reckon to get 4 to 5 years out of them.

Problem with getting batteries from places like Halfrauds and others with a five year warranty, is that you already paid for two, so they have no problem replacing them. But you don't get a five year warranty on the replacement, only what is left of the warranty on the original purchase. If you get a full calcium battery you need a special charger and an high alternator output. Fitting a full calcium battery to a car with 13.8 volts alternator output is a waste of time, as it will never get fully charged and sulphate up causing it's demise. Unless you have an expensive charger that can recover it from time to time.
