Hi Landy fans,
I'm Dave, the WoodButcherer name is relevant cos, I chainsaw carve wood for a living. I've just bought a 1991 - 110 county V8 with and LPG conversion for a work vehicle and I'm really looking forward to messing about with it inside and out. Be prepared for some greenhorn basic questions, (sorry old-timers).
Here's a starter question, I noticed the bonnet does not sit properly and it looks like it's because of the diamond plate wing fitments keeping it from closing flush. The question: is there a way of lifting the bonnet hinges to accommodate the plate so it sits flush? If not what do people do?
Looking forward to checking out the rest of the forum and becoming a Land fan too.

Diamond plate wing fitments??

At a guess, the hinges should have little roller type gromets, these prevent rattle..i bet they're missing.

I cant see that they make a great difference though...bonnet maybe been stood on etc etc

There's "meant" to be a gap between the bonnet and wing tops. Mines hasn't because when ah removed the bonnet, ah turned the wee bushes around so it sat lower;)

Oh aye, welcome tae the Zone... thick skin and guid sense o' humour is a must on here;):D
