Hi, having problems with a 2003 TD6 R/R, recently it has taken a little while longer to start each time, cold or hot does not seem to make a difference, today while at a diy store it completely failed to start, turned over no problem but would not start. Called AA man who sprayed Bradex easy start in to the air inlet and it started ok. Ran all the way home perfect, no symptoms whatsoever. On the drive I had the same problem again, no start, tried the same thing as the AA (Bradex)and it started an ran fine. I have looked round on various forums and although other people have had the same problem, the remedies and theories have been very different. I am at a loss at the moment as to why it needs a short squirt of bradex to start, I just wondered if anyone else had the same problem before I take it to Land Rover.

Fuel pressure problem? ive had trouble with mercedes vitos doing this, it turnt out to be a bad injector. Did the AA stick it on the diagnostic machine?

Ok, thanks for the reply, it looks like an injector then, If i could just ask a couple of questions, would one bad injector stop it from starting, and would it not affect the engine once it was running ?
Before I take it in would it do any harm to put some injector cleaner through once it is running ?

Injector leak of pipes, letting air in and fuel returning to the tank, when i done my leak off pipes i put a one way valve in the pipe between the injector pump and filter, my local 4x4 workshop stocks thease valves so its a common problem
