needing some advice in buying a disc td5 01 plate

hi i am wanting to buy a left hand drive discovery manual or auto diesel as i live abroad, but want some advice in what to expect.some people have said dont touch them with air suspension as will cost a lot to repair. the roads here are not the best ,will this damage the air suspension. any pointers on all of th3e car would help..... as have not purchased one of these before..we have currently other makes of 4x4 s....thanks

on disco 2 just look for rot on chassis and pipes parts fastened to it ,air suspension can be removed with £80-£100 kit 1 hour to fit (needs putting on kit to change bcu from air to coils )either auto or manual there not a lot to choose between them its personnel preference,they can both go wrong i prefer auto,

Get the 16 inch wheels as the 18s look good but make for a very hard drive.
