Need some help checking a UK plate here in Ireland???

Looking at buying a defender and wanted to do a quick check on the reg can anyone help? its "E88O LBR" checked one or 2 sites myself and it tells me it cant find anything.

Its starting to get me wondering and not in a good way thanks
