Need recommendations on a rebuilt GM transmission... But....

Hello peeps

Can anyone recommend a reliable auto trans supplier/rebuilder? But... I won't have a trans to exchange.

So she's a 2005 3.0t with the GM 5 speed and currently sitting in a friends barn in Italy. My plan is to ship a rebuilt box and TC to Italy and have it fitted by a local trusted garage before flying over to bring the car back. I could of course then send the old box back as an exchange unit but it could be March before I'm able to head over to collect the car..

Any help or advice?

Stanton automatics Tonbridge Kent, excellent job on my d3.
Apparently he has a shed full of old core units, which is the bit that may help you, I would guess they will need serial/model number off the old unit.
Place is old school mechanics, ie rough as hell, but they do a bloody good job.

Do not use Automatix on the medway estate, poor job on my Merc a few years back, was never right afterwards.

They do charge a core replacement deposit thing.... but I'm sure if you told them why there'd be a delay sendig the old one back they'd probbaly understand.

Make sure the new box has the sonnex valve block fitted or else the box will go again in the not to distant future.

your right my eyes were playing up been wearing my contacts too long they get blurry.
