need help!v8 trubles.

hi folks dan here.
just joined,an need your help with my 4.6 raggy.
fitted new rocker shaft an valve[both buggerd]now it wont rev/run rite above 1500rpm when warmed up.cold runs/revs as normal.
electrics guy chekt an said cam sensor,changed this twice.tested ecu an all clear so back to scrathin our heads.a need your help!:doh:

Has it got hydraulic tappets? Don't know much bout this engine but sounds like you've altered the valve clearances or timing slightly.

I'm not too sure to be honest mate, what buggered up the original valve do you know? I mean it's obviously something valve related, sounds like as it's warming up something is expanding and making it run rough. That's why I thought it could be the valve clearance cos if there's too little the valve will expand slightly and be pushed off it's seat, so you'll have generally rough running and poor compression on one cylinder. But eventually it will burn out the valve so you'll know sooner or later if it's something like that.

thanx again.i'll pass it on to the boys at the garage.i've also been told it mite be the lamda sensor for the exhaust?and because it runs rough when warmed up its flagging up the cam sensor.so i'll give this a try aswell.
