My '94 discovery 2.5 TDI has just failed it's MoT. I need to get it up and running and through the MoT, waiting for the full list of fails. I am work based in Birmingham, home based in Kettering, does anyone know of anybody who could help or be willing to take on the project?

Thank you for your help. I did look at the rules and also for somewhere else to post my request for help and advice. I couldn't see anywhere dedicated for people seeking help for mechanics and repairs. I thought the whole point of the forum was to help, advise and chat.

I've had my discovery for 13 years, I adore the car and I'm desperate for help to get it through the MoT.

If you haven't got anything useful to say don't bother replying, or possibly point me to where 'd be better off putting the thread.

Could I also suggest using a consenant now and then to make your posts coherent.

Moved it fer ya.

If you want friendly advice I suggest telling everyone a little about yourself and Landy in the 'Introduce Yerself' section and all being well you may get some offers of help on this thread.

Hint.....Telling established members not to bother posting is not generally considered to endear you to even the most generous of LZ hearts.

Good luck :)

1 - Calm down, it was the wrong section, LZ International Rescue is for emergencies only, while a failed MOT may be an emergency to you, it actually isn't:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:, it's been moved now though, so lets not worry about that;);)

2 - An introduction in the imaginatively titled 'Introduce yourself' section helps, otherwise it upsets the natives:mad::mad:, you wouldn't walk up to a bunch of strangers and ask for help without introducing yourself first would you:confused::confused:

3 - Giving abuse on your second post will not endear you to the natives (i.e. the people who can and will help):(:(:(:(

:welcome2: to the mad house anyway:D:D

and why cant the garage that moted the disco repair it?? or is it a case of you being to tight to pay them and come on here for seeking free labour??

I'll take on your project but payment at the end would have to be your Discovery I'm afraid.

Unless of course you're a fit bird, or just even a bird or just.....................

How about telling us what it failed on?

Do you need someone who can weld, someone who can do electrics or someone who can do mechanics stuff, like wheel bearings?
