Hi all,

just bought me first landy. an 06 plate freelander HSE. very happy with it so far. apart from GPS!

last owner decided he wanted to keep the second gps disk, i believe this is the actual map disk as disk 1 seems to be a system sort of disk????

its a becker unit from what i have read. the cd box set i have with disk 1 is western europe 2005 part t1000-9853.

anyone help with me getting hold of the correct disks for the unit??? looked on fleebay and cant find what i think is right and the cost from landy is 150

seller is being a toss pot about it too so no luck there!!!!

any help is very welcome :)

As far as I remember this was discussed a while back. Concensus of opinion, and my own personal option, is to buy a Tom tom or Garmin which can be removed and upgraded via internet for a damn sight cheaper money! Plenty of options included bluetooth, Memory card, photo view etc.

As I already had a Garmin GPS, the first thing I did when I got my Hippo was to get rid of the Stereo / GPS. Got a Bluetooth stereo so I could use the phone, handsfree of course.

to be honest i was hoping to not spend any money to get this working if you know what i mean. not having much luck with that at the moment.... everything i try it doesnt like the disk....

got garmin i tend to use on my mobile but nice to have this running on the car when needed...

am i right in thinking the first disk is a system disk?!?!? i have to put it in when the unit is started up but when i go start a route it asks for nav disk 2 each time and this is what i dont have :(

Could try here:

Europe - Freelander

It doesn't say how the maps are delivered (i.e. disc or download). It might be worth giving them a call. If you don't need up-to-date maps, they might be able to give you discount on some old ones??
