So I've got myself a Nato hitch with a view to getting a Sankey in time, I offered it up to the crossmember though and the spare wheel (235-85-R16) is in the way, fouling the top of the hitch, now I'm sure I've seen other people with a Nato hitch and a door mounted spare, or am I missing something:confused::confused::confused::confused: If the spare is the problem would a swing away raise the position of the spare wheel to allow the use of the hitch, any help from you gentlemen would be most appreciated in this problem, cheers.;)

Been looking around on t'internet and it appears that the Bearmach swing away wheel carrier mounts slightly off centre towards the off side. Now this sounds to be great for fitting with a Nato hitch. Does anybody have the Bearmach carrier who can confirm or deny this, from the few pictures I've found I'm not totally convinced.:confused::confused:

Haven't had a computer for a couple of weeks, so I'm just resurecting an old thread. I can now confirm that if anyone experiences the same problem as me with a Nato hitch fouling the spare then a Bearmach swingaway does solve the problem, or it does on my motor anyways.:D:D:D Pretty straight forward to fit as well, happy days.
