Nato Hitch Advice

Hi I am Tonybell with an ex MOD Defender 2006 A2 Snatch Armoured which has a looks like un used Nato Hitch on the back but despite lots of WD40 cannot get it to lock down. Seems jammed in the open position. The 'T' bar part rocks very slightly but nothing else moves. How can I un lock it

If i recall they are quite straightforward to strip down. Give it a good service

There is a locking pin that goes goes through a small hole. It’s normally a split pin or similar. There might be a bit broken off in the hole. Worth a check.

Look where the arrow is for part 8. Note the small hole.

Thank's to who ever put on this diagram of my hitch. Solved the problem now. Never been used was the problem but now OK.
Where did you get this diagram need one like this to show me the inside of the heater box which though the water pipes get hot
and the blower is working still no warm or hot air getting into the cab. Not sure what the hot & cold lever does. Does it open a vent
inside the heater box?

My tank before & after. Had to strip it down a bit as every one was mounting the kerb to get out of my way!

This is it now. Still looks menacing but a little less so!

I'd have left the spare wheel on and the screen protection!! Never know when you'll need it!! unless it was easily nickable

Not good at any take away the bloody windows don't open. All are 1" thick and fixed.
Never new this until I got it home.

Make sure you’ve got some pie hot security for ^^^. Few land mines would work well, will alert the neighbours if someone starts peeking through the window

Pretty sure the windows are bolted on and not supposed to open.

Not worried about the land mines. The steel plate underneath is about 15 mm thick.

Yes you are correct they are bolted on. Got to remove one soon to get glass changed as it looks like it took a blast, all fogged.
But it will be thinner glass. No bombs where we live, I hope.
