well after 15years of my D2 td5 it finally blessed me with the 3 amigos last week . This was just what I've been waiting for all this time ! And although I had kinda worked out the fault (shuttle valve) as the TC was not working on the muddy stuff! . But with a skip in my step it was off to the bank manager (wife) to plead my case finally to buy a nanocom , well it turned up yesterday. set it up, and plugged it in and shuttle valve fault! Popped Into LR on way home ordered part (SWO500030) £52:10 and yes I know cheaper on line . Picked part up this morning . 37 minutes later all fixed .happpy days . So anyone in the Aylesbury/ bucks area with a D2 td5 I'm happy to help with faults readings

If it is any comfort, I have had the same fault coming up on all of the Readers used by all of the dealers and other mechanics for the last 12 years on my D2 td5, yr 2000 - 'ground reference' fault. Just about everything has been tried - one Indy even added, piggy-back style, a new ECU - and many parts have been replaced and wiring added/checked all to no avail. At the beginning of this year they were on constantly. Then I stopped using a Roadhawk camera which I had wired directly to the battery - dealer done not me - and I have been free of the dreaded amigos for nine months now! But this is not really the proper cause as I only got the cameras 3/4 years ago - and the amigos have been with me for about 12 years.
I do not do any work myself - not capable!! Now I think I would believe that there really is something wrong with 'Euphorbie' if he did NOT get afflicted with the 3 amigos!!

Thanks for that sierrafery and will give that a go as soon as the fault pops up again , but any luck it will be another 15years :) . Could i also ask. I've read in the past a tip you always give people when they have a nanocom a mod/setting to do to the alarm and can't find or remember what it is please

in BCU alarm disarm settings set to ''ALWAYS...'', https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/recommendation-for-d2-owners.184078/ , also you can save your own EKA to be a combination of 4 small numbers (between let's say 1 - 6) to be easy to insert if needed cos it used to have one or more greater than 10 numbers then you'll get old near the car untill you insert EKA if you see what i mean ;)
Thanks for that :) and yes will do the EKA code as well as I have had to use the EKA code before when my remote resever was playing up .and yes it did feel like time was standing still as I was doing it
