Hello and Namaste,

I have a '03 3-door Defender Td5 that I recently purchased here in KTM. It's an ex-embassy truck that was modified by Conrico in Surrey with a dual-battery system, brush guard, full length rack, hitch, etc. I've wanted a Series 109" for some time, but was lucky enough to get this recently.

Parts here in Kathmandu are a not the easiest to come by, and I already have a list of items to do: steering and suspension joints/bushings, shocks, leaking fuel cooler (just bought some some -225 o rings), EGR blanking kit, etc.

Engine seems in decent shape, but there's a definite learning curve compared to what I used to drive ('04 VW Golf, petrol, 2L). Not entirely sure yet if it's putting out enough power, it does seem a little gutless under what feels like 2,000 rpm. Another thing is a tach to replace that silly clock.

Going to be shipping parts from UK to US to be forwarded here. Any suggestions on stores are welcomed -- have been looking at Paddock and Craddock, as well as a few others.

Cheers,

John
