Hi everyone... I have been browsing the forum as I collect a 1996 Disco 1 tomorrow (Friday 15th) bought from a friend who has a race workshop in Saltley (Porches and Ford Pumas)... I believe it is a 300tdi SE five door, and it took him a while to find as he wanted a series 1 without all of the usual problems (rot ect) so is in reasonable condition with some work already done, (shockers all round, sway/a/roll bar bushes, rear brakes ect) but now surplus to requirements as a race car tow barge, which they never actually used it for. so have "given" it to me for a very good price.

The title to my introduction... ? ... well I live between Rhuddlan and Rhyl North Wales, and lost my second Wife last year... I am presently building a friendship with a new lady who lives at Perton about nine miles up the A41 from Wolverhampton, and spend some time there, hence the purchase of the Disco from her prospective Son in Law, (and the discounted price) ...

I have of course worked on older Land Rovers up to series 2a years ago, and the first one I owned was a 1950 series 1 in the 1970s, but have had nothing at all to do with Discoveries... luckily B's Son in Law has... so I am in effect a novice on here..... I am an "oldie" at 66 years young and retired... looking forward to a bit of green laning perhaps ?
