Hi guys,
I was researching the web to figure out how to fix some problems on my Freelander.
It seems that most of the problems i need to fix were already addressed in some of the articles hosted in: http://www.myfreelander.com. Unfortunately, the site is no longer available. ( I still don't know why)
I also found out that the owner of the site hosted a zip file containing all this site's info (perhaps html pages, graphics, etc).
I was wondering if any of you guys had the chance to download such a zip file and share it with me. Any help will be widely appreciated.

JP.

Yes ched.. it seems that the domain name expired indeed. No ip address can be resolved out of that name.
That's weird.. most hosting companies will advice you of your contract expiration.. hopefully the owner wouldn't loose the domain rights.. nor the info.

I have had a look at the cached site and it says he has sold his freelander and is not continuing with the site. I have emailed him to try and get the zip data. If I can get it I will post a link to it.

Ched.. for ever grateful!
Thanks a lot for your time in advance.
I am currently desperate to find the articles which were in the site, since I am facing most of the problems which were described in it.

I have had a response from the owner and he is going to try and give me the zip file. I can then get the zip info up on a website, hopefully fairly fast. Although I dont know if there is just text or images or what yet.

I will let you know asap.

Hi Cash,
Following is a list with the stuff I need to fix on my Freelander. (in order of importance).
Would not be bad to mention this is my car's 2nd KV6 engine which I imported from UK after nobody been able to fix the "coolant disappearing" problem. Some stupid dealer replaced the head gasket and the car just overheated and broke the pistons.
I'm currently located in Costa Rica where these cars are considered luxury cars in some way, I had to pay 70% of the car's base price to import it, that gives you an idea of how much I have to pay for parts and fixes.

- Coolant disappearing. (No over heating) Problems persists with brand new engine.
- Vibration in front right side tire after 70khm.
- AC compressor making noises when turned on.
- Sunroof is stuck and can't be opened.
- HDC not working at all after replacing new engine. (The dealer reseated the CPU codes, but this one just comes up again as soon as the HDC is turned on)
- Broken Cruise Control switch.
- Sealing arras coming off!.

I am an engineer and just got tired of been charged HUGE amounts of money for fixes and parts, I will import every part i need from US (ebay) and will fix it myself. (Me and my brother run a shop).

No problem with sarcasm, I work with UK people on my daily basics and I am really used to it. I like it as I use it a lot in spanish as well, there are people in these low and uneducated countries who can speak more than 3 languages -yer know.

Best regards,
JP.
